Our frequent flyer awards for 2008 has been broken into two categories. Category one is the best Qantas frequent flyer card and two is the best virgin blue frequent flyer program. The winners chosen by Credit Card City were based upon the quality of the membership program along with the basic features or the credit card.

Winner Best Qantas Frequent Flyer

Credit Card City is proud to present its 2008 Frequent Flyer Award in the Qantas category to the ANZ Qantas Frequent Flyer. Earn up to one Qantas Frequent Flyer Point for every dollar up to $1,500 spent on purchases monthly. Earn up to one Qantas Frequent Flyer point for every two dollars thereafter, up to and including a maximum monthly spend of $5,000. With ANZ's bonus partners there is no limit to the amount of bonus points you can earn after the maximum monthly spending limit has been reached. The basic features for the ANZ Visa Frequent Flyer include a 20.24% pa interest rate on purchases (Current 12/03/08), a $95 Annual fee, a minimum credit credit limit of $1000 and up to 44 days of grace period for purchases. For a limited time only ANZ is offering a special 2.9% for 12 months on balance transfers from any non ANZ Bank credit card. ANZ's frequent flyer offer gives you a fantastic rewards program along with great features for a frequent flyer credit card. ANZ also offers this credit card in the Gold and Platinum version. Winner Best Virgin Blue Frequent Flyer

This years winner for the best Virgin Blue Frequent Flyer credit card goes the Velocity by NAB. The Velocity card is available in Visa or American Express and in standard or gold. You earn the maximum points if you sign up or an American Express Gold Velocity card. The rewards program offers you bonus points for every dollar you spend. You can redeem your points either with a Virgin Blue ticket or purchase a product from the Virgin Partners. There is no cap or expiry on your bonus points (See NAB web site for full details). The interest rate for the Velocity Frequent Flyer credit card is 19.25% (Current 12/03/08) pa on purchases with an annual card fee of $65 per annum. The Velocity NAB card is a well deserved winner of our frequent flyer awards for 2008.
